  Job Openings in Quantum Gravity

Faculty position
We are looking for an assistant or associate professor to join our Quantum Gravity Group at Radboud. Applicants should have a recognizable research profile in quantum gravity with a substantial track record of independent, original work. The successful candidate will strengthen and complement existing research lines on Causal Dynamical Triangulations and Asymptotic Safety, and will become part of a dynamic and active group, consisting of permanent members Renate Loll and Frank Saueressig, affiliate member Jan Ambjorn, five postdocs, five PhD students, and several visitors. Deadline for applications is January 22, 2017. More information and details about how to apply can be found here.

Post-doc positions
A postdoctoral position in quantum gravity and quantum geometry will become available at the Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics and Particle Physics (IMAPP) of the Radboud University Nijmegen, starting in autumn of 2017. The successful applicant will become part of the research program "Quantum gravity and the search for quantum spacetime", a collaboration of high-energy theorists and mathematical physicists, sponsored by the Dutch Foundation for Fundamental Research on Matter (FOM) (see here for more information).

Applicants should have a background in quantum gravity or related areas, and an active interest in contributing to the consortium's research in nonperturbative quantum gravity, which focuses on causal dynamical triangulations, renormalization group methods and noncommutative geometry. The appointment will be for two years.

Applications must be submitted through AcademicJobsOnline.org, job listing #8391 (click here). Deadline for applications is December 15, 2016. Later submissions may still be considered as long as the position remains vacant.

If you are interested in applying for external funding to join the quantum gravity group at Radboud University (for example, one of the European Marie-Curie Fellowships under their "People" program, or the Dutch personal grants by NWO under their "Veni, Vidi, Vici" scheme), please contact R. Loll in good time before the relevant application deadlines
